I. Call to Order- Dr. Ridge Hammons 5:32 pm
II. Roll Call of Members-
Present: Hammons Dow Gambrill Butscher Etheridge Andrich
Not Present: Willms Silva
Staff: Talbert Anaya
III. Adoption of Minutes:
1. February 10 2014 (Special meeting) Butscher motioned; Gambrill seconded; all in favor
IV. Public Comment
N/A
Gambrill asked if we can invite groups to make public comment. Anaya responded yes
but CCY members could not engage in discussion unless group was on the agenda.
Suggested inviting groups and placing them on agenda.
V. Old Business for Discussion and Possible Action
1. Review and Update Action Plan for Data Collection Project
In house document to keep CCY on task and accountable for moving forward with DCP
and promoting distribution and use of the information. Suggestion to
add target dates for review and approval at next meeting
add strategy for out-of-school time activities to strategy addressing lack of
favorable parental influences
add Project Turnaround to aforementioned strategy
add Association of Builders and Contractors to strategy addressing extreme
economic deprivation
Anaya to list items on upcoming agendas for CCY to report out on progress of each
strategy
VI. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action
1. Review and Finalize April 15, 2014 for Presentation to City Council
Remove three slides on youth development
Highlight Sample Data Sheet
Add information about how to use data
Suggestion to host an informal run through of presentation
