REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
Monday, September 21, 2015 5:30 p.m.

City Hall, 1201 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX
I. Call to Order- Dr. Ridge Hammons @ 5:36 pm.
II. Roll Call of Members-
Present: Hammons Dow Schwartz Miller Huff
Absent: Kollaja Andrich Butscher Silva
Staff: Herrera Perrin
III. Adoption of Minutes: Regular Meeting minutes from August 17, 2015 for approval. Joe Miller
motioned, Donine Schwartz seconded, all in favor.
IV. Public Comment— none
V. Presentations— David Prado/Juvenile Assessment Center
• House Bill 2398—Truancy Reform Bill
VI. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action - Becky
1. Survey Collaboration
2. Proposed Community Coalition Forum with all City Coalitions
• Who? - Maybe include a faith based group, school administrators
• What?
• Where?- Check capacity at Lindale Senior Center and Ben Garza Gym
• When? - Spring 2016
• Why? - make sure we aren't duplicating services and providing services where they
are needed
Joe Miller motioned to support, David Dow seconded, unanimous support from all commission
to move forward.

• Gap Analysis Update
o City Council Status
o Where did the funds come from?— Find out who at the Port is responsible for$5,000
donation to send a personal thank you to

• Budget Report— no budget for this commission
• Bikes and Kites Update—3rd Annual, Saturday, November 7th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

o CCY Booth
IX. Identify Items to be placed on next Agenda— Monday, October 19, 2015
