I. Call to Order-at 5:30 pm by Joseph Miller, Chairperson
11. Roll Call of Members— Lisa Oliver
Present: Joseph Miller, Clarissa Mora, Melissa Sweating, Laurie Garcia, Priscilla Baldilez, Gilbert
Trevino
Absent: Christina Harrison
Staff: Lisa Oliver- Superintendent, Denise Pace - CCPD
111. Minutes from June 17, 2019— 1St Clarissa Mora, 2nd Gilbert Trevino, all approved.
IV. Public Comment
• Guest— Dr. Laura Turner, interested in serving on commission.
V. Presentations
• No presentations scheduled
VI. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action
• Committee Vacancies: Gilbert Trevino submitted his resignation; this is the youth slot. The
members reviewed the applications for the Educator slot. Members will select their
recommendation and email response to staff liaison.
• Master Plan Update—Discussion
a. Schedule guest speakers to reflect the goals in 2003 Master Plan
b. Goal I —Success by 6 Community Assessment
c. Goal 11 —Clarissa
d. Goal III —Melissa/Christina
e. Goal IV—Gil bert/Prisci Ila/Lau ra
• Schedule guest speakers at meeting; send revisions to Joe by Sept 9th and he will update for
committee; suggestion to invite previous members;
