CALL TO ORDER: The Chair called the Meeting to order at approximately 5:45pm. II. ROLL CALL: The recording secretary called the roll and announced that a quorum was present. III. ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES: REGULAR MEETING, March 27, 2006 Sheri Phillabaum moved to adopt the minutes; Penny Grochow seconded. Motion passed. IV. ACTION ON ABSENT MEMBERS: Absences for Guy Nickleson and Capt. Vidal De La Cerda were excused. V. HEAR FROM THE PUBLIC: None VI. BUSINESS: A. Old Business - 1. Community Connections Luncheon - The Commission continued discussions concerning May 12 event at the ESC (space, date, food, speakers, invitees, etc.). This conference will bring youth coalitions together with community leaders. Senior Community Services will make the lunches. B. New Business— 1. Endorsement request from Judge King-Judge King presented the Municipal Juvenile Court Grant. Grant will cover court staff to administer program, grade tests and document results. Penny Grochow moved to endorse Judge King's grant, Coretta Graham seconded. Motion passed. 2. Commission Vacancies — Possible expiration on commission seats for Miles Toran, Guy Nickelson, Lauren Ranly, Vicky Alexander, and Coretta Graham. Reba George will check with Monique Lerma from the City Secretary Office on renewal terms. VII. COMMITTEE/STAFF REPORTS: NONE SCANNED Commi;{• _ >n Children and Youth—Minutes 2 VIII.
