Regular Meeting
Thursday, October 20, 2016 — 5:30 P.M.
Juvenile Assessment Center STE.105, 615 Leopard, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401
MEETING MINUTES
I. Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 5:33pm
II. Roll Call of Members: Absent members—Velma Lozano; Carlos Barrera
III. Adoption of Minutes: No action on adoption of minutes
IV. Action on Absent Members: All absences were approved as unexcused
V. Public Comment: No public present for comment
VI. Business for Discussion and Possible Action:
A. Introduction of New Members: All present members gave brief introductions.
Introductory packets to the 78415 Program Steering Committee were distributed to all
present members. Nominations for the position of Chair were received. Rick Barrera
nominated Lisa Torres for position of Chair. Nomination was seconded by Gracie Solano.
All present members were in favor, none opposed. Motion carried for Lisa Torres as Chair
for 78415 Program Steering Committee. Nominations for position of Vice-Chair were
received. Janelle Mata nominated Sandra Rivera for position of Vice Chair. Nomination
was seconded by Rick Barrera. Motion carried for Sandra Rivera as Vice Chair for 78415
Program Steering Committee.
B. Discussion of Upcoming Events: Matthew Delgado reported the submission, to the
State, of the new Request for Proposals covering the final quarter of FY17 and the next
five years.
VII. Fiscal Agent's Report:
A. Report on services provided in FY16: Matthew Delgado distributed performance
numbers of the four providers to the committee
VIII. Identify Items to be placed on next month's agenda: The update of 78415 Steering
Committee Bylaws; Community Strengths and Needs Assessment
IX. Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 6:42pm
