MEETING MINUTES
I. Call to Order: Meeting Called to Order at 5:40pm
II. Roll Call of Members: Members not in attendance: Ann Cortez, Erica Mora and
Venessa Santos-Garza
III. Minutes: No minutes were approved
IV. Absent Members: No Quorum present for October 16, 2008, no action on absent
members was taken
V. Hear from the Public: No public was present
VI. Business: Marla Miller from Texas Network of Youth Services was present to facilitate
Planning Training for the CCC. This included goal planning, reviewing member
responsibilities and discussion with the Youth Advisory Committee. Ms. Miller made
introductions, assessed everyone's knowledge of the CYD program and discussed the
Community Needs Assessment. She discussed different methods of gathering
information and talked about program outreach. Ideas were generated on how to get
the CYD message to the community and the meeting concluded with overall planning
of action plans.
VII. Committee Requests for Future Agenda Items: No future items requested
VIII. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 7:25pm
POSTING STATEMENT: This agenda was posted on the City's official bulletin boards,one facing Leopard
Street and the second in the Leopard Street Entry Foyer, 1201 Leopard Street at 9:20a.m.on November 14,
2008.
