CORPUS CHRISTI BUSINESS AND JOB DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (TYPE A)
SPECIAL MEETING
CITY HALL -- COUNCIL CHAMBERS
JULY 23, 2012 — 4:00 P.M.

A. Called meeting to order — President Salazar called the meeting to order at 4:42 p.m.
B. Roll Call - President Salazar verified that the necessary quorum of the Board were
present to conduct the meeting.
Motion to approve an additional $750,000 grant to Craft Trainina Center
increasing the total grant from the $1,750,000 originally granted to Craft Training
Center on October 17 2011 to $2,500,000m to amend the budget to allow for this
additional $750,000 funding from the Unreserved Fund Balance in the No. 1140
Business/Job Development Fund and to appropriate an additional $750,000 from
the Unreserved Fund Balance in the No. 1140 Business/Jo Development Fund, --
Mike Culbertson, Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation,
introduced Dr. Ann Matula, Director of the Craft Training Center and Chairman Bob
Parker. Mr. Culbertson explained that the Craft Training Center is requesting additional
funding in addition to the original grant to complete the expansion of their facilities.
Mr. Tamez made a motion to approve Item 1, seconded by Mr. Escobedo and passed
(Edwards and Gulley were absent).
G. Public Comment - None.
Board members and staff commended President Salazar for his service on the Board.
President Salazar thanked staff for their assistance during his time of service.
H. Identify Future Agenda Items: The following item was requested as a future agenda
item: a financial statement and overview through the end of the year.
Adjournment There being no other business to come before the board, President
Salazar adjourned the meeting at 4:13 p.m.
