The meeting was called to order by Susie Luna Saldana at 2:33 p.m.
A motion was made by Mr. Staff and second by Mr. Maldonado to approve the minutes from October 20
as printed. Motion carried, 7/0.
Constance Sanchez explained the financials and asked if the board had any questions. Revenues are up
11.9% from last year and expenditures are on target for the fiscal year.
Stacie Talbert introduced the new superintendent Monica Bryant. Mrs. Talbert explained that the night
curfew violators are down and the juvenile court referrals are up. Mrs. Talbert explained that a CDBG
program would be implemented to help with middle school prevention.
Detective Ramiro Tortes explained that 60%of the tagging can be attributed to 15 - 16 year olds and 40%
to 17-19 year olds. He also explained that recently two 14 year olds tagged a church.
Pat Eldridge explained that she would like the crime control to fund part of the utility bill insert that will
be coming out in January. Ms. Eldridge explained that the insert would roughly he about $2,200. The
board approved to pay for half of the printing cost.
A motion was made by Mr. Johnson and second by Mr. Sauceda to cancel the December crime control
meeting. Motion carried, 7/0.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:02 p.m.
