The meeting was called to order by Susie Luna Saldana at 2:35 p.m. A motion was made by Mr.
Maldonado and second by Mr. Sauceda to approve the minutes of April 20, 2011 as printed. Motion
carried, 7/0.
Chief Riggs presented a slide show of his goals for 2010 and 2011.
Constance Sanchez presented the finance directors and explained that the financials were right on track
and asked if anybody had any questions. No questions were asked by the board.
Stacy Talbert gave an overview of the programs and services that are happening with the Juvenile
Assessment Center.
Detective Ramiro Torres gave the hoard graffiti stats for the month of March 1, 2011 through May 18,
2011.
• March 2011- 12 arrests(8 felonies,4 misdemeanors)
13 cases filed(9 felonies)
241 work orders generated
• April 2011-4 arrests(all misdemeanors)
6 cases filed (2 felonies)
413 work orders generated
• May 2011- 1 arrest(felony warrant)
3 cases filed(all felonies)
162 work orders generated
The quarterly presentation to City Council will be on May 17, 2011, the public hearing will be June 14,
2011 and it will be placed as an action item on June 21, 2011.
The Commission on Children and Youth for the data collection project was requesting $34,000 from the
Crime Control board. After a discussion regarding the project a motion was made by Mr. Molina to table
this item, there was no second. Motion failed. A motion was made by Mr. Johnson and second by Mr.
Molina to do a match of$5000.00. Motion failed. A motion was made by Mr. Corrigan and second by
Mrs. Garcia to match $10,000 if another agency or business provides the other $10,000. Motion carried,

Mr. Molina would like for Dr. Rhodes to give a data presentation at the next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 4:27 p.m.
