HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Crime Control And Prevention District - 08/17/2011 MINUTES RECEIVED CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT WEDNESDAY,AUGUST 17,2011 NOV 3 0 2011 CITY HALL,6TH FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM Members Present CfIYSECRE7ARy-5 OFFICE Bob Corrigan Susie Luna Saldana Jenny Dorsey Michael Staff Estela Garcia David Torres Randy Maldonado The meeting was called to order by Susie Luna Saldana at 2:35 p.m. A motion was made by Mr. Staff and second by Mrs. Garcia to approve the minutes of July 20,2011 as printed. Motion carried,7/0. Commander Green gave an overview of CATIC. He explained that a team was first appointed in October of 2010. In January 2011, CATIC was formed which is comprised of the crime analysts and intelligence analysts in the same office. Commander Green explained that compstat meetings are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. Constance Sanchez gave the financial report and explained that the annual revenue is $5,175,202.07, which is 2% of what was budgeted. Expenditures are 93.4% for the year. Diana Naranjo with the Juvenile Assessment Center presented a report on Municipal court case referrals to the JAC. No graffiti information was presented. Captain Asbury gave a littering efficiency update and explained that the Office of Accountability organized a committee of 8 people to build a better policies and procedures manual. There were 3 areas of concern: • Training and education • Public information • Enforcement Items to be placed on next agenda-September 21, 2011 • Captain Asbury to come back with more information on Littering • Presentation by Code Enforcement • JAC-10 year analysis The meeting was adjourned at 3:54 p.m. SCANNED
