The meeting was called to order by Cecil Johnson at 2:30 p.m. A motion was made by Mr. Staff and second by Mr.
Scott to approve the minutes of March 19,2014 as printed.Motion carried 7/0.
Commander Gutierrez gave the following crime report:
• Crime is down by 16%this includes violent murders and aggravated assaults.
• Burglaries and thefts are down 1%compared to last year.
Scott Leeton thanked the Board for providing officers with the"Go Bags";the tourniquet provided in the bag helped
save the lives of two officers recently involved in a shooting.He handed out formal letters of appreciation.
Priscilla Garza gave the financial report for the 8 month period ending March 31,2014:
• Revenues are down-1.07 compared to 7.19%last year.
• Expenditures are 58.13%
Diana Naranjo of the Juvenile Assessment Center gave an update for the Month of March:
• 18 curfew Violations(10 male, 8 female)
• 29 drug tests were performed; 8 yielded positive results,mostly for Marijuana
Elections of officers: A motion was made by Cecil Johnson and second by Mr.Leeton to accept nominations.
• Motion was made by Mr. Olivares to nominate Cecil Johnson for Chairman and second by Mr.Maldonado.
• Motion was made by Mr. Hicks to nominate Mike Staff for Chairman and second by Mr.Leeton.

Mr. Staff accepted the Chairman position.
Motion was made by Mr. Leeton and second by Randy Hicks to retain Mr.Johnson as Vice Chairman and Mr.
Maldonado as Secretary,motion carried 7/0.
Three new employees hired by the CCD this fiscal year were introduced:
• Tom Brown-Volunteer Coordinator
• Cliff Bost- Crime Prevention Advisor
• Jonie Petitta-Crime Prevention Advisor
Diana Naranjo presented a decision package to add a new program manager position in FY2015.This person will
work with students to modify their behavior. Motion was made by Mrs. Garcia to approve and direct staff to include
new program for discussion and put it in the book, second by Mike Staff. Motion passed 7/0.
Ms. Eldridge reminded the board that the June 18 will be an evening meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 4:27 p.m.
