Call to order
Susie Luna Saldana called the meeting to order at 2:35 p.m.
Report from the Chief of Police
Buc Parade went well. May 21"will start the Click It or Ticket Campaign. Beach to Bay is this weekend.
Police Memorial week is this week with CCPD Honor guard represented in Washington D.C. for the
ceremony. CCPD is working with Texas National Guard to demolish 22 substandard homes. Six
replacement bicycles for the bike patrol will be purchased through the crime control budget.
Crime Report
Commander Isaacks presented the Crime Report. There have been 17 homicides this year with a good
clearance rate. Most of the homicides so far have been drug related more so than domestic.There is a 38%
decrease in business robberies. The violent crimes aside from the homicides are down this year with
property crimes up slightly. Criminal Investigations has started their repeat offender group in their Property
Crime Unit,two investigators are dedicated to identifying repeat offenders.

Finance Director Report
Constance Sanchez gave the Financial Report for March.
• YTD Revenues for March 31, 2018 -$3,598,955.70
• Sales Tax $352,042.14 over budget
• Expenditures$3,157,481.34
Budget Review
Eddie Houlihan reviewed the proposed FY2019 budget. The estimated Sales Tax was increased from
$7,000,000 to $7,125,000 and the proposed FY2019 Sales Tax was increased from $6.9 million to $7
million. The Reserve Appropriation was increased to$200,00,fuel budget increased to$125,000,increase
in Minor Tools&Equipment for body armor replacement of vests over 5 year warranty,and 20 additional
patrol rifles. Scott Leeton stated he has raised more money to purchase another 100 ballistic panel vests.
Identify Items to be Placed on Next Agenda
June 20"is the next meeting at 6:00 p.m which is the Public Hearing on the proposed FY2018-2019 budget.
When Crime Control approves the budget on June 20th, it will be submitted to City Council by June 30th.
They will hold their Public Hearing and First Reading on August 14'h. On August 21', they will either
approve or reject the budget. By state law it has to be approved 30 days before the City Budget is adopted.
