Call to order
Susie Luna Saldana called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
Introduction of members
New Board Members were welcomed and each one introduced themselves

Approval of Minutes
Joan Veith moved to approve the minutes. Fred Edler seconded the motion. The motion passed 9/0.
Report for the Chief of Police
Promotional Ceremony will be celebrated on Friday,March 15t at the Del Mar Economic Center at 2:00 p.m. Promoted
will be seven Lieutenants, one Captain, and two Deputy Chiefs. The major project for this year are the radios and
changing out CAD/RMS software. The PD currently staffs 446 officers. 63 of those officers are budgeted in Crime
Control Budget. Chief Markle will send out a list of the District Patrol Officers for each District. There will be a
community meeting on February 215 at Rose Shaw Elementary.
Crime Report
Captain Asbury presented the monthly Crime Report. There has been an increase in home invasions. He will be
emailing the stats to Pat.
City Auditor Report
No City Auditor Report
Finance Director Report
Alma Casas gave the Financial Report.
• 2019 Sales Tax Budget for December is$530,028. December Actual received is$545,678.33.
• Annual revenue collection for FYI through December is$82,733.53 surplus.
• Amended Budget for Appropriations and Expenditures is $7,085,519.69, Expenditures $1,540,886.82,
Encumbrances$55,027.79,and Unemcumbered$5,489,605.08
2019 Meeting Calendar
• Board to meet February,March,April,May, and June
• June 19t1 -Board will approve the FY 2020 Budget.
• August 13'1 and August 20'1, City Council will approve the Budget
• Will meet again in September and October
Budget Review
Pat Eldridge briefly reviewed the adopted FYI budget and explained how the funding process works.
