Lori Garcia seconded the motion. The motion passed 5/0. Report for the Chief of Police Assistant Chief Mark Schauer reported the Buc Parade went well. They received compliments on the new route. Police Department is now gearing up for hurricane season. Class A/B citation process started a week ago and they are up to 45 citations,saving about 2000-3000 arrests per year. Beach to Bay is on Saturday. Crime Report Captain Asbury stated the Crime Index is a little over 3% down from this time last year. Non-Violent Crimes are down over 5%. Violent Crimes are up 6% from last year. Homicide numbers are below normal. City Auditor Report Kimberly Houston introduced herself as the City Auditor. There is no city auditor report. Finance Director Report Alma Casas presented the Financial report: • Annual Estimate of Revenues$7,021,200.00 • YTD Actuals Collected$3,734,617.38 • Summary of Appropriations and Expenditures o Original Budget$7,019,993.00 o Expenditures to date are$3,057,831.89 Discussion/action changing meeting time to 2:00 from 2:30 Mr. Edler has requested to change the time in case meetings run long they can avoid business traffic. Susie Saldana does not feel comfortable voting on this until everyone on the committee is present. Fred Edler motioned to table until the next meeting. The vote was unanimous 5/0. Budget Review • FY 2018-2019 Revenue and Expenditure Year End Estimates • FY 2018-2019 Revenue and Expenditure Proposal o Police Officer Cost Estimate changed from$6,537,130 to$6,629,343 for 2018-2019 o Ending Balance changed from 5,068,950 to$4,976,737 for 2018-2019 • In-Car Video Project o Requesting$200K to offset$1.5 million for the total cost • Patrol Rifle program overview o Supplement to the primary weapon system the Smith and Wesson o $50K in budget to cover 25 rifles and need$16K for 8 additional rifles. Fred Edler motioned to add $16K for 8 additional rifles,Lori Garcia seconded the motion. Motion passed 5/0 Public Comment No Public Comment. Adjournment Susie Luna Saldana moved to adjourn the meeting at 3:18 pm. The motion passed unanimously, 5/0. 1
