Bung Steve Zastrow, Legal Advisor Jorge Cruz-Aedo, Finance Mariah Boone, Assessment Center Dr. Stuart Elovitz, Citizen The meeting was called to order by President Loeb. The October 18, 2000, minutes were approved. Mr. Cruz-Aedo told the Board that there is no Treasurer's Report for this meeting. Ms. Eldridge reviewed the variances. Chief Bung presented the video imaging project proposal. He reported the cost of the project will be $85,765 and only $50,600 is budgeted. The Board approved modifying the budget and appropriating more money for the full proposal. Mr. Loeb asked staff to do a little further research to explore what it will take to extend the technology into the vehicles. Chief Bung gave the Board an update on MDT/AVL. Cmdr. Smith gave updates on the property recovery unit and the directed patrol program. Cmdr. Smith told the Board that November 20th at the 900 block of Oak Park at 2: 00 p.m. there would be a block party and barbecue. This location is where the lady lived whose house was rebuilt after being displaced by drug dealers and prostitutes. There will be 60 to 70 certificates and plaques given. He advised the Board that there would be a citizen advisory council meeting November 16th at Hamlin Middle School at 7 :00 p.m. Ms. Eldridge said West Oso Independent School District submitted their request for reimbursement for last fiscal year in the amount of $28,404, which is still eligible for payment. The Board approved payment. Mariah Boone gave the Board an update on the Assessment Center. 1 SCANNED �► V Ms. Eldridge distributed the 2001 calendar.
