Mr. Pool called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
The minutes were approved,moved by John Martinez, second by Cecil Johnson.
Cindy O'Brien reviewed the financials, stating that sales tax revenue is $63,000 above
projection.
Commander Smith reported the Pawn Shop detail is fully staffed as of October 31, 2005.
He also reported that the property recovery unit is operational and has contacted each of
the area pawn shops to ensure reporting.
The 2005 annual report required by the city secretary was distributed for review.
Commander Smith reported that the current academy would be graduating on March 10th
and the next academy would commence a week before the existing academy ends.
The preliminary projections for the 2' year revenue are up and the revenue growth at 4%
looks good for another 10 years.
Vicki Alexander discussed the Youth Advisory Committee and how she would like to see
those kids attend the annual convention on March 20, 2006. Ms. Alexander asked if it
was within the scope of the crime control district and asked if the commission would
fund for the kids to attend the annual convention.
A motion was made by Mr. Martinez and second by Mr. Johnson to adjourn the meeting
at 3:00 p.m. Motion carried.
