CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT

Public hearing was opened at 6:00 p.m.
There was no public comment.
Public hearing was closed at 6:02 p.m.
Mr. Pool called to order the regular meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District
at 6:02 p.m.
A motion was made by Mr. Kucera and second by Mrs. Alexander to approve the
minutes of March 15, 2006 as printed. Motion carried, 6/0.
The 2006/2007 budget was presented. A motion was made by Mr. Kucera and second by
Mrs. Alexander to adopt the 2006/2007 budget. Motion carried, 6/0.
Cindy O'Brien reviewed the financials stating that revenue was $127,300 or 4.5% over
budget. $32,000 was reimbursed by FEMA due to Hurricane Katrina.
Crime Stoppers officers Mike Alaniz and Jose Olivarez presented research on the
purchase of a laptop, the Dell 710. After a brief discussion it was discussed that $2000
would be sufficient for computers and accessories. A motion was made by Mrs.
Alexander and second by Mrs. Soto. Motion carried, 6/0.
It was mentioned that Reba George was taking Mariah Boone's place at the Juvenile
Assessment Center.
Butch Pool asked if the Citizens Advisory Council's were still meeting and Commander
Smith advised Mr. Pool that some were meeting, but most have broken into smaller
neighborhood groups.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
