ruling from the City Attorney on when Ms. Vela must resign her
position from the Board.
Ms. Baiamonte reported on the Juvenile Curfew/Truancy Assessment
Center. She stated that the delay with the Governor's office was

A job description for the Citizen Advisory Council Management
Assistant was distributed for review.
The Board discussed the Treasurer's Report and Budget.
Mr. Kinnison told the Board that he and Ms. Vela met with the City
Manager to discuss the possibility of having the Citizen Advisory
Council Management Assistant act as a liaison between the Police
Department and City but report directly to the Crime Control
District. They discussed the position being jointly funded by the
City and the District. Chief Alvarez expressed his concern of the
Citizen Advisory Council Management Assistant also being hired to
handle other District-related duties since it will be a full-time
position dealing with the 17 advisory councils. The Chief
suggested maybe coming up with another recommendation that might
meet the Board's needs so all can be served adequately.
The Board scheduled a workshop meeting for ' the purpose of
considering the annual budget, applications for funding,
consideration of contracts with other entities, and planning the
Board's future activities for Friday, November 13, 1998, at noon at

Room.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:35 p.m.
