The meeting was called to order by President Loeb. The November
17, 1999, minutes were approved.
Ms. Sullivan presented the financial report.
Ms. Eldridge distributed a January-December, 2000 yearly planner
detailing budget obligations.
Mr. Loeb asked if the Legal Advisor could give the Board a legal
opinion on whether the Juvenile Assessment Center security
positions have to be staffed by CCPD officers. Ms. Boone gave
the Board a status report on the Juvenile Assessment Center. Ms.
Bridges distributed a letter she received from Barbara Sudhoff,
Municipal Court, on the interconnectivity/access to juvenile
information. In the letter Ms. Sudhoff suggests that the
subcommittee meet with Carl Lewis, County Court Judge, to
establish a dialogue regarding juvenile issues.
Ms. Eldridge told the Board that bids are going out for bicycles
in expanding the bike patrol. Radar equipment will be purchased
for the Traffic Safety Section as soon as word is received on the
block grant. Ms. Eldridge also told the Board that Santos
Villarreal, Parks & Recreation would take over the project of
designing a logo for the Crime Control District.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:20 p.m.
