• Chairman Budd called meeting to order at 3:08 p.m. in the Committee Room on the
first floor of City Hall. The next item of business was roll call. Mr. Adrian, Mr.
Horner & Mr. Hernandez were absent for October meeting.
Motion was made by Mr. Conolly, seconded by Mr. Sebbert to approve the minutes
of the previous meeting with corrections. (October 17, 2002)
The next item was to adopt the NEC Codes. Mr. Budd stated that all the changes
were not given to the board members. Mr. Budd spoke of the need to go ahead and
adopt the 2002 NEC with possible exception date permitting beginning January 2003
and be under the 2003 electrical code. Motion made by Mr. Carranco, seconded by
Mr. Salazar to recommend the adoption of the 2002 code effective January 1, 2003.
Mr. Sebbert brought up that we need to add the ordinance amendment with the code
adoption. Motion was made by Mr. Carranco that the ordinance changes be effective
along the 2002 codes and realign to the proper article number, as they are written,
seconded by Mr. Salazar. Motion passed unanimously.

The next item of business was the Building Official Report. Mr. Cavazos reported
that Mr. Sosa stated that we will be in the Frost Bank Building by mid January 2003.
Mr. Cavazos also stated that the city is implementing a new software program for
issuing permits. Question from Mr. Budd as to how will this system affect calling in
the electrical permits. The permits will issued by an application number. Mr. Budd
asked that a notice be given to everyone that this effects on how the procedure works.
Question- why do we not have mail out list unless posted at City Hall. Holiday's -
The board agreed to have a meeting in November 2002. Motion by Mr. Sebbert,
seconded by Mr. Conolly to cancel the December's meeting. Motion passed, with
one opposing.
The next item of business was board member and staff discussion of any pending, old
or new items to be put on a future agenda. The board suggested that we put on next
board meeting for discussion the Rights, Electrician License
• Suspension/Revocation Hearing Procedure.
The next item of business was petition from the audience. There was none.
Motion made to adjourn the meeting, seconded by all and passed unanimously. The
meeting adjourned at 4:05.
