ELECTRICAL ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
City Hall Staff Conference Room
Wednesday—January 19,2006
3:00 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER
Craig Loving declared a quorum and called the meeting to order at 3:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL
The first item of business was roll call. Albert Alaniz was absent.
*David Lewis missed roll call but arrived at 3:37 p.m.
*Alonzo Garza was not able to attend the meeting.

Bill Ewing, Jr. hadbusiness-to•takecare.of during the month of November and asked
to be excused. A motion was made by Martin Adrian and seconded by Lee
Montgomery. The motion carried.
APPROVAL OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES—November 17,2005

LATEST INFORMATION ON STATE LICENSING by:David Lewis
• State grandfathering provision period will be closing December 31,2005
•
• Grandfathering provision is not to upgrade helper to journeyman,journeyman
to master, and so forth
• Still renewing existing Electrical City Licenses,but directing people who want

to get a new license to the State.

• Chairman Kyle Budd, Shane Tomo,and Bill Ewing's terms expire 12/31/05.
• Kyle Budd has met the six year limitation and is ineligible for reappointment
• Shane Tomo will not be seeking reappointment
CHIEF INSPECTOR'S REPORT-David Lewis
• City now has five Electrical Inspectors, which means inspectors are able to
respond faster and each inspector has fewer inspections each day
• David Lewis will be in Fort Worth, TX November 18th and 19th for the Annual
meeting of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors
• In February of 2006 International Association of Electrical Inspectors will be
conducting seminars and training sessions on grounding and electrical issues
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
A motion was made by Chairman Kyle Budd and seconded by Shane Tomo to add a
line item to the agenda called Old Business. The motion carried.

A motion was made at 4:27 p.m. by Chuck Sebbert and seconded by Richard Gray to
adjourn the meeting. The motion carried.
