Truax Salvatore Vetrano Phillip Benavides Michael Lippincott Michael Dodson Board Members Absent: Curtis Proske Staff Members Pesent: John Hudson, Chief Electrical Inspector Olga Carrion, Clerk Typist II Chairman Jeanne Mc Mahon, called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. , in the Committee Room on the first floor of City Hall. The first item of business was the approval and correction of the minutes of the prior meeting on October 21, 1993. Chairman Mc Mahon informed the board that the minutes had not been released and no action was taken. Chairman Mc Mahon reviewed some information mailed out to contractors regarding the new ordinance changes passed by the City Council that would be in effect beginning December 1, 1993. She reviewed the change to the re-out inspection fee and the reinstatement of the $200 administrative fee for construction violations requiring permits. Chairman Mc Mahon inquired on the status of the job search for the new electrical inspector. Mr. Hudson, Chief Electrical Inspector responded that once a job analysis is completed the position would be advertised. SCANNED P.O. Mr. Robert Shake expressed a concern regarding out of town companies coming into town and causing problems when the contractor is the owner of the company but is not a master of record for that company. Mr. Shake stated that he would like for the Electrical Advisory Board to look into and perhaps even changing the Electrical City Ordinance criteria pertaining to a master of record. Chairman Mc Mahon informed the board that they could discuss Mr. Shakes concerns,take no action but that the board could decide to place the item on next months agenda. Nr. Hudson, Chief Electrical Inspector concurred that there was a potential problem. After a short discussion a motion was made by Mr. Nadkarni, seconded by Mr. Sal Vetrano to place the item on next months agenda. The motion carried unanimously.
