January 20, 1994 BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Jeanne McMahon, Chairperson Michael Lippincott Ashok Nadkarni Curtis Proske Salvatore Vetrano W. B. Truax Eloy Salazar BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Michael Dodson Phillip Benavides STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: John Hudson, Chief Electrical Inspector Olga Carrion, Clerk Typist II Chairperson, Jeanne McMahon, called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. , in the Committee Room on the first floor of City Hall. The first item of business was the Election of Officers. Chairperson, Ms. McMahon explained that the board had 2 year terms but elected 1 year officers. The Board did not take official action regarding the election of officers, with the election of officers to be scheduled for February. The next item of business on the agenda was the discussion of Electrical licensing criteria regarding maintaining a Master of Record. Mr. Hudson, Chief Electrical Inspector stated that he had met with, Ms. Farris, Assistant City Attorney, Mr. Lorenzo Gonzalez, Building Official and Mr. Mike Reuwsaat, Director of Community Development which resulted in a memorandum from the legal department. Mr. Lippincott made reference to the previous months meeting regarding the boards discussion to possibly amending and/or making a motion to amend the Master of Record Section of the Ordinance. L A discussion followed during which TEC 940 and Federal 941 forms were 7 L referenced. Ms. McMahon suggested requiring TEC 940 in lieu of the Federal 941. Mr. Lippincott and Mr. Hudson suggested requiring both forms since different information was provided by each for each employee. U CIO Mr. Robert Shake referred to the Apprentice/Journeyman ratio, and asked �+J that if an improper ratio was found on the job was it noted by the City Inspector. He added that in his opinion the Master of Record should be held responsible for having unlicensed workmen. P.O. Mr. Lippincott suggested that a sub-committee be appointed or to hold a special meeting to discuss only the issue regarding the Master of Record. A motion was made by Mr. Curtis Proske, seconded by Ms. McMahon to postpone the Master of Record discussion until next months meeting. The motion carried unanimously. Mr. Robert Shake inquired about the form to be required. Mr. Lippincott responded that the TEC quarterly report may be added to the required documentation.
