Haysam Dawod, Chair, called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. Roll was called. The following members were present:

Karon Connelly
Harry Hallows
Michael Rivera
Bill Strawn
First Assistant City Attorney Alison J. Logan was present as was Laurie Ledesma-Garcla from the City Attorney's Office.
READING OF MINUTES
The March 14, minutes were read and approved. No changes were made.
REWORDING OF VERBAGE FOR ITEM#16 CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI CODE OF ETHICS
City council members may attend advisory meetings in their personal capacity. They will still be able to participate but will
need to voice they are abstaining a vote. Council member should try to prevent any influence upon the board.
Chairperson Dawod's recommendation is attendance is okay as long as restrictions are in the verbiage. Commissioner
Connelly advised it is okay for members not to attend but it is still possible. Attorney Logan advises council members to
not attend. Council governs as a body, not as single members. A motion was made to leave ordinance as is. Motion
was seconded and passed. Two members did oppose.
