Minutes of the Ethics Commission Meeting an January 15,201S

The meeting was called to order by Karon Connelly,Vice Chairperson,at SSM Dr.Dawod
Joined the meeting at 5:35.
L Roil Calf. The fallowing members of the Ethics Commission were in attendance: Alicia
BenrAdez, Ken Bung Karon Connelly, Harry Hallows, Arthle Lee Perez, harry White and Rod
Wolthoff. Absent David Ghably. City Staff in attendance:Assistant City Attorney Use Agullar.
2. The Ethics Commission ravlewed minutes of pmWous meeting. A motion was made by Rod
Wolthoff to approve the minutes; second by Alicia BenaWdez. All In favor, none opposed.
Motion carried.
3. Ethics Commission procedures:A)Hearing Guidelines,81 City Code of Ethics Amendments,C)
Complaint Form;D)Checklist for complaint;and E)Correspondence related to Ethics Complaint
The Mcs Commission reviewed the correspondence related to Ethics complaint Rod
Walthoff will draft template language to be used In future correspondence. The Commission
discussed preparing mode complaints to have in City Secretary's office. Discussion regarding
amendments to Ethics Code. Lang White made motion to direct legal counsel to submit Ethks
[ode revisions far placement on qty Council agenda. All In favor; none opposed. Motion
carried
4. Review of Ethics Commission annual report. Motion by Arthle Lee Perez to approve annual
report;second by Rod Wolthoff. All in favor,none opposed.
S. Public comment. There was no public comment.
6. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at appro3dmately 6:30.
