Fifth Floor East Conference Room
City Hall - 1201 Leopard
The members present were: Chair Garry Bradford, Vice-Chair Frank Tompkins II, Cecil
Henry, Eduardo Hinojosa, Gloria Perez, and the Rev. J. Allen Lowe. The Rev. Dr. Raymond
Kiser,the Rev. Derrick Reaves, and David Longoria was absent. City Attorney Jimmy Bray was
present.
Reverend Kiser(out-of-town) and Reverend Reaves (conflict with pastoral duties)
requested excuses in advance, which were granted. Gloria Perez was excused for her absence at
the December meeting.
The December 9, 1999 minutes were approved as submitted.
The Commission discussed Cecil Henry's suggestion to allow one person, rather than
five, to file a complaint. After discussion, there was consensus that no change be recommended
at this time.
The Commission received and reviewed a report from the City Attorney on State law
restrictions on use of campaign contributions.
Regarding scheduling of future meetings, Commission members were requested to
consider for discussion at the next meeting what the frequency of meetings should be.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m:
