The Ethics Commission held its annual meeting on July 26, 2000.
The members present were: Chair Garry Bradford, Vice-Chair Frank Tompkins II, the
Rev. Dr. Raymond Kiser, Eduardo Hinojosa,the Rev. Derrick Reaves, and Craig Reynolds.
Gloria Perez and Irma Caballero were absent. The Rev. J. Allen Lowe resigned because he is
accepting a position as pastor of a church in another city. City Attorney Jimmy Bray was present.
Absences were discussed. Garry Bradford said he would write a letter to Gloria Perez.
The April 13 and May 11, 2000 minutes were approved as submitted.
The Commission briefly discussed Commission practices and procedures and possible
changes. It was noted that consideration should be given to narrowing Section 2-326(a)(2) of the
Ethics Code at some point in the future.
It was determined to continue the regular monthly meeting schedule.
There was no public comment.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
