MINUTES OF THE ETHICS COMMISSION
City of Corpus Christi, Texas
5:30 p.m., September 14, 2000
Fifth Floor East Conference Room
City Hall - 1201 Leopard
The members present were: Chair Garry Bradford, Vice-Chair Frank Tompkins II, Gloria
Perez, the Rev. Derrick Reaves, and Craig Reynolds. The Rev. Dr. Raymond Kiser, Irma
Caballero, and Eduardo Hinojosa were absent. City Attorney Jimmy Bray was present.
The meeting commenced at 5:55 p.m. due to late arrivals.
The Rev. Dr. Raymond Kiser's absence for this meeting was excused because of family
illness. His absence from the August 10, 2000 meeting was excused because he was ministering
to a congregation member in an emergency situation. Gloria Perez said she would be out of town
on business at the October 12, 2000 meeting and asked to be excused. The Commission granted
her request.
The August 10, 2000 meeting minutes were approved as submitted.
Jimmy Bray briefly outlined planned review of the Ethics Ordinance. Because of the late
start, it was decided to delay commencement of review of the Ethics Ordinance provisions until
the next meeting.
It was determined to continue the regular monthly meeting schedule, with the next
meeting being October 12, 2000.
There was no public comment.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
