At 5:35 p.m., the meeting was called to Order and roll call was taken. .
The members present were: Fred Haley, James R. Cramer, Linda Figueroa, Nick
Adame, Joe Guzman, Harlan Heitkamp, and Rick Marcantonio.
Excused absences were previously given to Robert N. Corrigan.
City Attorney Mary Kay Fischer was present.
Members absent were: Terry Carter.
The Commissioners reviewed the minutes from the March 9, 2006 meeting. The
Commission members unanimously approved the minutes.
City Attorney Fischer distributed the Open Meetings Certificate to Mr. Adame, Mr.
Cramer, Ms. Figueroa, Mr. Haley and Mr. Marcantonio.
Mr. Heitkamp was provided the Open Meetings Act Training Tape to take home and
view. Mr. Guzman advised the Commission that he would be viewing the tape at the
WorkSource meeting. Ms. Fischer advised the members to be sure to write down the
number at the end of the tape since it is needed for submission of the certificate of
completion to the State of Texas.
The Ethics Commission then reviewed the annual reports of Financial Information and
Ms. Fischer advised the members that reports would be returned to those persons who
failed to completely or correctly prepare their reports with notations of areas that needed
further attention.
There was no public comment made at this meeting.
The Commissioners agreed that they would meet every other month if there was
business for them to consider. Ms. Fischer agreed that she would continue to update
the Commission on need for meeting in advance as previously instructed.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
