At 5:35 p.m., the meeting was called to Order by Chairperson Cramer and roll call was
taken.
The members present were: James R. Cramer, Mike Carranco, Harlan Heitkamp,
Robert N. Corrigan and Rick Marcantonio.
City Attorney Mary Kay Fischer was present.
An excused absence was previously requested by Linda Figueroa.
Attorney Fischer advised the Commission that Mr. Guzman and Dr. Adame failed to
timely file their Report of Financial Information, resulting in their automatic and
immediate forfeiture of office. The City Council will consider their reappointment to the
Ethics Commission on Tuesday, May 15, 2007.
The Commissioners reviewed the minutes from the April 12, 2007 meeting. The
members unanimously approved the minutes of April 12, 2007.
The Commissioners reviewed 72 Reports of Financial Information.
Chairperson Cramer shared contents of various newspaper articles involving ethical
matters to discuss with the Commission.
Commissioner Corrigan noticed that many of the reports he reviewed did not include
financial information regarding a spouse. I advised the Commission that would review
the memorandum sent to reporting officials to make sure that it reminded them to
include spouse's information on income and businesses.
There was no public comment made at this meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
