MINUTES OF THE ETHICS COMMISSION IV
SPECIAL MEETING AUG 1 8 2009
City of Corpus Christi, Texas CITY SECRETARY'S OFFICE
5:30 p.m., July 23, 2009
Legal Conference Room — 5th Floor
City Hall — 1201 Leopard
At 5:40 p.m., a quorum was present and the meeting was called to Order by Vice-
Chairperson Figueroa.
Roll call was taken and the members present were: Robert N. Corrigan, Rebecca
Esparza, Linda Figueroa, Harlan Heitkamp, Rick Marcantonio and Bill Strawn.
Excused absences were requested by James R. Cramer, Laura Hebert and Joseph
Guzman.
City Attorney Mary Kay Fischer was present.
Sara Foley was present from the public.
The Commissioners reviewed the minutes from the July 2, 2009 meeting and the
minutes were approved unanimously.
Vice-Chairperson Linda Figueroa and the Ethics Commissioners discussed the manner
in which their recommendations would be presented to the City Council. The Vice-
Chairperson would lead off the presentation and the other members were to sit at the
front table and each take a section to describe. It was also discussed that various
examples would be shared with the Council to describe various scenarios.
It was decided that the Ethics Commission members would be at the City Council
meeting on Tuesday, July 28th at 1:00 p.m.
No one was present for Public comment.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
