MINUTES OF THE ETHICS COMMISSION
City of Corpus Christi, Texas
5:30 p.m., November 11, 1999
Fifth Floor East Conference Room
City Hall - 1201 Leopard
The members present were: Vice Chair Garry Bradford, Frank Tompkins II, David
Longoria, Cecil Henry, the Rev. Dr. Raymond Kiser, the Rev. Derrick Reaves, Gloria Perez, and
the Rev. J. Allen Lowe (arrived at 6:15 p.m.). Eduardo Hinojosa was absent. City Attorney
Jimmy Bray was present.
The October 14, 1999 minutes were approved as submitted.
Eduardo Hinojosa's absence was excused because he was out of town. Allen Lowe's late
arrival was excused because of hospital pastoral duties.
The Commission decided that the present meeting schedule should be continued, with the
next meeting on December 9, 1999. Election of officers will be scheduled for the December 9
meeting. Background materials will be provided to new members, and an updated membership
list will be distributed by that meeting.
Garry Bradford and Jimmy Bray discussed background of the Commission and its
activities the last two years. Cecil Henry suggested that the Commission look into making its
services available to the County as well as to the City.
Each member made a short presentation of his or her background.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
