Members in attendance: Lisa Pollakis-Chair, Manuel Ortega, Bobby Boyle Pollakis called the meeting to order at 3:21 p.m. Pollakis asked for acceptance of the minutes. Mr. Ortega moved to accept, with a second from Mr. Boyle. Cantu gave the Manager's report. Cantu reported that there was an increase shown on the activity report due to all Inspector positions being filled. Cantu stated that the newly hired Inspector was learning quickly and is currently shadowing Inspectors as they conduct different inspections. Cantu stated that since the last meeting held, three establishments had a failing score upon inspection. A$50 fee must be paid by the establishment before a re-inspection is conducted. Cantu reported that Inspectors are working late evenings and weekends to inspect mobile vendors that may be conducting business without permits. Cantu stated that all mobile vendors that were recently inspected had current Health Permits. Cantu stated that the City Secretary's office has not informed us of any applicants for the board vacancy. Cantu informed the committee that there was a change in staff at the City Secretary's office. Mr. Anthony Hernandez is still waiting for reappointed to the committee. A general discussion was held about sale of banana bread and tamales in parking lots around the city. The committee also discussed about billing for establishments and food handler permits for Nueces County. With no further discussion, Manuel moved to adjourn the meeting with a second from Bobby Boyle. The meeting was adjourned at 3:47 p.m.
