Food Service Advisory Committee Meeting

Members in attendance: Lisa Pollakis—Chair, Dr. Patricia Polastri, Manuel Ortega, Bobby Boyle and Mr.
Carlos Moreno
Staff Liaison: Isicloro Prado, Norma Hughes
Lisa Pollakis-Chair, called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Roll call was taken by Norma Hughes
(staff).
motion to approve the minutes forte meeting heldon February 11, 2015 was made by Bobby Boyle
and 2 d by Dr. Patricia Polastri,
Capt. James Brown with the Fire Marshall's Office brought a presentation on Fire 5uppression
Requirements. T e topics were as followed: Prevention, Elimination, Location, and Tags on Fire
Suppression Systems should be serviced every six (6) months. Always look at the License Tag it will show
e last date it was serviced. Anydeficiencies should e corrected immediately, please call Fire Dept.,

Inspector, Liza Salinas was congratulated and recognized forte great job she does. She has been
promoted to Health Inspector 11 position. This position was vacated by Merce Garcia. Liza stated she is
looking for new challenges and loves her job! She will be making a report on Capt. James ro n's
presentation on their next inspectors meeting.
r® Prado gave the manager's report. r. Prado mentioned that Inspector, Liza Salinas has gone above
and beyond to assist theAdmin.Staff,and has been active in the OSSF FIELD,asked foradditional training.
Inspectors, Jennifer Richter and Mani Ponnusamy have met the CPO requirements (Certified ool
Aerator), and all the inspectors will be attending the CPO Class. There are 2,345 County/City Foo
Establishments Health Permits. Approx. 375 establishments still need to come in and pay for permits.
There are 295 pools that were sent renewal invoices on February , 2015, We are looking to have
Sery a e Food Handier permits on-line on U-Tube site, in English, Spanish, and Asian language. Tis has
of been approved yet, Now, we will be posting for Health Inspector job position.
The problematic restaurants were yalee`s Asian Bistro,Jack in the Box,Wild Horse Saloon&Grill,Stripes,
an J's restaurant.
We will be under new supervision, due to Asst. Director,Aurora Parlamas has left the Health Dept.,and
Donna Rosson withthe Health Dept. has taken over as the Interim Asst. Director.
We received Mr. Brian Carson bio and waiting to receive more sots Food Service Advisory Committee
Members will review them. The cosen individual will replace Mr.Jack Baker.
The next Food Service Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for April 07, 2015, at 12:00 non
With no further discussion, a motion to adjourn was made by Lisa Pollakis,Chair and 2"d by Dr. Patricia
