Carlos Moreno called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m. The minutes of the March 4, 2003 meeting
were approved as written:
E&CHP Report: Superior Rating Award:
It was decided amongst the Board members to drop the Superior Rating Award due to not having a
consensus on the guidelines to honor this award.
Director's Report
March and April 2003 collecting funds, from restaurant establishments etc: Permit sales down as
well as food handler permits. There was an increase in inspections. Decrease in complaints.
Presentation by Sabrina Johnston
Sabrina Johnston is the Food Service Director for Christus Spohn Hospital-Shoreline. She is a
registered dietitian and possesses excellent credentials forher current position. Mrs. Johnston's
presentation encompassed the educational requirements of becoming a dietitian, and the importance
of a dietitian in today's society.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held July 1, 2003 at 2:00p.m. in the Administration
Conference Room at the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District, 1702 Horne Road.
