Beynon is out of town for ACO Euthanization Medication Certification. Statistical comparison for this time of year and last year: less• dogs were donated by owners who refused citations; less dOgs & far less ; I; cats' were brought to- AC -by public; less bite cases were beinginvestigated; !,! l more animals. were transferred to PAWS (possibly PetSmart impact);; a similar !i number of dogs were euthanized, but less cats. RABIES UPDATE:` Region l8 had ,!j • 130 cases in 1992 compared to 85 in 1991. A coyote, . which attacked 2 'dogs'jin !. Agua Dulce on 1/12/93, has been confirmed as the 1st case -of rabies inHNueces H . County in 1993 ; another coyote in the incident escaped.
