2. PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION ADDRESSING
HUMAN RELATIONS BUDGET AND STAFFING
A copy of a draft resolution was provided to all of the Commissioners. Discussion was
held regarding the department's budget and staffing. The Commissioners revised the
last two paragraphs of the draft as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED that the Human Relations Commission for the City of
Corpus Christi recommends that the Human Relations Department be
provided sufficient funding from the City's General Revenue to increa,,o
restore the Department's staffing from the current six (6) permanent positions
to ten-(-1-0) nine (9) permanent positions, and that the City Council make every
effort to achieve this goal in the adoption of the City's 2008-2009 fiscal year
budget.

passed.
