A quorum was established at 4:32 p.m.

Ill. Approval of Minutes:
June 23, 2016 Meeting
A motion to approve the minutes of the June 23, 2016 meeting was made by Commissioner
Martini and seconded by Commissioner Gaillmore.The motion passed.
V. Discussion and Possible Action:
• Election of Officers
Vice-Chair Becquel opened nominations forte position of Chair. Vice-Chair Becquet was
nominated as Chair by Commissioner Martini. Vic air Beccluet accepted the nomination.
No other commissioners were nominated,therefore Vice-Chair Becquet was elected Chair by
acclimation,
Chair Becquet opened nominations for the position of Vice-Chair. Commissioner Thompson
was nominated as Vice-Chair by Chair Becquet. Commissioner Thompson accepted the
nomination. No other commissioners were nominated,therefore Commissioner Thompson
was elected Vice-Chair by acclimation.
• Potential Harbor Bridge historical marker
Andrew Dimas, Project Manager of Development Services presented Information on the
process of obtaining a historical marker from the Texas Historical Commission(THC).
V. Items to be scheduled on the next agenda
• Discussion of process of obtaining Historical Markers from the Texas Historical Commission
(THC).

• Update on status of THC grant project.
• Update on Old Bayview Cemetery.
• Update on status of the New Harbor Bridge.
• Overview of the Landmark Commission
1J1. Public comment from the audience on matters not scheduled will be her at the end of the
commission meeting,
Kathleen Engler, 1919 Leopard Street.
0 Ms. Engler, a representative of Tagata Spiritual Leadership spoke regarding
a campaign to place eight statues at various locations. She asked for
information regarding potentially placing a statue at the site of the Old
Nueces County Courthouse.

There being no further business to discuss,the meeting adjourned at 4:56 p.m.
