CITY SECRETARY'S OFFICE ▪SCS on the Move PowerPoint Presentation: Postponed. ►Teambuildinq —Group Activity Ms. Munoz facilitated a group teambuilding activity to increase LCSS member familiarity with each other and with staff members. Individuals were asked to describe their personality using the first letter of their first names (example: "Energetic Elsa"). This activity created an atmosphere for learning each other's names and to gain some insight about members and staff. ►Roll Call Roll call was conducted by Patricia Byrd. Hubert Hall, Ida Hobbs, Dotson Lewis, Maria Clarissa Lopez, Adelfa Martinez, Billy Ray Sayles, Carolina Szepessy and Arnold Villarreal were absent. ►Public Comment: None ►Vaules and Visioning (Break Out Session): Committee Members broke out into two teams and came up with the following: Core Values: • Dignity/Respect • Acceptance of Diversity • Compassion • Community Outreach • Awareness of Future Needs • Promoting Healthy Aging • Integrity Priorities: • Keep seniors interested Socialization Meals Activities • Baby Boomers Age Diversity • Resources Benefits Counseling Brochures Advertisement (50+) • Rename Facilities Remove "senior" from facility name Change time facility can be used • Presentations SCANNED After Lunch Education Additional Programming 1 t • Sportsmanship Attitude Fighting, bickering, etc. Teach respect to each other • Public Relations Person Funding ►Items to be placed on the next agenda: None ►Adiournment: The retreat was adjourned at 4:00p.m. 2
