Presentation on Wal-Mart Project
Dan McGinn, Development Services Senior Project Manager, stated that the City retained access
easements for Carmel Parkway, which means that the public will always have access from
between Staples and Gollihar. The schedule for temporary closure at each side of Cannel Pkwy
will be approximately three weeks. The contractor will provide temporary access to the library
parking lot during the temporary closure. Estimate date for the completion of the entire project
will be the first week of October. Staples Street construction will begin at the end of April.
Staples Street is a City project that will begin at Weber Road and end at Airline Street.
Director's Report
Mr. Canales stated that the City has approximately a $11.5 million shortfall. He expects to
propose large cuts for the library.
