Library Board Meeting

Call to Order
Mr. Flores called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.
STAFF PRESENT:
Laura Garcia, Public Service Manager
Sylvia Sanchez, Secretary
Approval of Minutes
Motion for approval of the minutes of January 11, 2012 was made by John Keys and seconded by Larry
Jordan. Motion passed unanimously.
Friends of Library
Mrs. Rogen discussed the Friends membership drive.
Director's Report
Mrs. Garcia gave an update on the Greenwood Library project. Project is approximately 25 % completed.
New Business
Motion was made by Paul Altheide and second by Larry Jordan to excuse Dr. Stuart Elovitz and
Catherine MacLachlan from last month's meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Flores reported that the library received a 92% citizens' approval on the Citizen Survey that
was conducted by Texas A &M Corpus Christi.
Sue Stanford distributed flyers of the AAUW Book Sale and Silent Auction, at Neyland. Library
on March hct, and March ?'
