MINUTES
LIBRARY BOARD OF THE
CORPUS CHRISTI PUBLIC LIBRARIES
February 10, 2004
MEMBERS PRESENT: Treva Bedwell, Barbara Silverman, Sue Stanford, Margaret
Moss, Dr. A.N.M. Waheeduzzaman and Reynaldo Rodriguez.
STAFF PRESENT: Herb Canales, Director of Libraries;Rebecca Jones, Secretary.
Minutes from the January 13,2004 meeting were approved.
MOTION FOR EXCUSED ABSENCE:
1. Ms. Barbara Silverman moved to excuse Dr. Thomas Cron from the meeting due to
illness. The motion was seconded by Ms. Margaret Moss and approved unanimously.
OTHER BOARD ACTION:
1. A motion was made by Ms. Barbara Silverman for the board to adopt a
recommendation for a possible bond issue as follows:
a. New Southside Branch
b. Expanded Northwest Branch
c. Parkdale Branch Improvements
The motion was seconded by Ms. Margaret Moss and was approved unanimously by
present board members.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
