March 11,2008 CITY SECRETARY'S OFFICE
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mary Christmas, Janey Cone, Roel Carmona,James Martin,
Lucy McCracken, and Sam Beecroft
STAFF PRESENT: Herb Canales, Library Director
Meeting was called to order by Mary Christmas at 1:15 p.m.
Janey Cone made a motion to accept the February 12, 2008, minutes. Roel Carmona
seconded the motion, and it was approved by all.
DIRECTOR'S REPORTS:
1. Mr. Canales gave a presentation on the City of Corpus Christi Balance Scorecard
and updated the Board on the ongoing building projects
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Andrea Naismith and Barbara Silverman were excused for their absence of the
February meeting. Ms. Silverman was also excused for her absences for January
and March as well.
2. Mary Christmas was elected Chair of the Library Board by acclamation. James
Martin was elected Vice Chair.
