Marina Advisory Committee
Monday, August 5, 2012
Members Present: John Adams (2), Capt. Ron Behnke (1), Curt Broomfield (1), Dan
Leyendecker (2), Hai Suter (1) and Dr. Robert Vega
Members Absence: Robert Cagle (3), Roy Pell (1) and Capt. Monte Reitz (3)
Staff Present: Peter M. Davidson, Marina Superintendent and Rene Garza, Marina Field
Supervisor
Call to Order: Vice - Chairman Broomfield called the regular meeting of the Marina
Advisory Committee to order at 5:35 p.m.
Action. can Minutes: The motion. was made and seconded to approve the Minutes of the
06/04/12 Regular Meeting as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
Presentations and/or Public Comment: See Discussion items.
Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto:
FEMA Flood Ma —Mr. Davidson introduced Bill Green and Natasha Fudge of the City
Engineering Department whom made a presentation regarding the City's (handout
provided) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Updated and Revised Flood
Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMS) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for Corpus Christi and
Nueces County. Discussion followed.
Update New Marina Office Financing and Desi n — No update available at this time.
Committee /Staff Reports: Oil & Gas Committee Liaison — Capt. Behnke commented no
activity to report. Friends of the Co us Christi Municipal Marina — No report in
Chairman Pell's absence.
Director's Report: Mr. Davidson or Mr. Garza commented on and/or answered
questions regarding: (1) revenues; (2) expenditures, (3) occupancy; (4) Market Days.
Identify Items to he Placed on Next Agenda: Mr. Leyendecker requested presentation
of the rendering suggested for the new Marina Office.
Confirmation for Next Meeting is: Monday, October 1, 2012, Note: The regularly
scheduled September 3, 2012 meeting is canceled as it falls on a City Holiday, otherwise,
a special meeting will be called as necessary.
Adjournment: As there was no further business, the-meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
