Marina Advisory Committee
Monday,April 1,2013
Members Present: Roy Pell, Curt Broomfield,John Adams, Ron Behnke, Robert Cagle, Monte Reitz
Members Absence: Dan Leyendecker
Staff Present: Peter M. Davidson, Marina Superintendent, Rene Garza, Marina Field Supervisor and Cherie
Gutierrez, Management Assistant
Call to Order: Chairman Pell called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at 5:30 p.m.

Action on Minutes: The motion was made by Mr. Behnke and seconded by Mr. Cagle to approve the Minutes of
the 12/03/12 Regular Meeting as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
Presentations and/or Public Comment: Capt Chuck West of J&J Diving interested in being a contractor for the
Marina and is having problems obtaining insurance. Mr. Davidson advised of contractor fee and would like to set
up a meeting to provide suggestions.
Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto: Kevin Kaldenbach with Bay Yacht Club brought in updated
plans, and Walter Crawford assisted with discussion, Mr. Pell inquired about the outcome of meeting with
Development Services. Mr, Kaldenbach stated was pending windstorm stamp and waiting on Engineering to file
paperwork for building permit. Mr. Davidson indicated once has approval from Development Services we would
be able to move forward to city council, they need to approve BYC lease with two readings. Mr. Crawford asked
for official vote. if MAC approved the plans. Mr. Broomfield made motion to table vote until receives approval
from windstorm and city services.
Committee/Staff Reports:
Oil & Gas Committee Liaison—No activity to report.
Friends of the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina—No activity or change to report.
Director's Report: Mr. Davidson commented on and/or answered questions regarding: (1) potential
members to replace the three seats available for Marina Advisory Committee; (2) revenues, expenditures
and occupancy; (3)) Marina Market Days; (4) Texas Coastal Boating & Saltwater Expo to be out of water
boat show on July 11-14.- (5) CCYC to host US youth sailing championship on August 12-16; (6)
appreciation to Cherie, management assistant, for running office and ending year in black and to Rene.

Identify Items to be Placed on Next Agenda: Mr. Davidson to discuss important bills at Texas Legislation,
plastic bottle bill and boating tax.
Confirmation for Next Meeting is: Monday, May 6, 2013.
Adjournment: As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:17 p.m.
