Staff Present: Peter M. Davidson, Marina Superintendent; Susan Thorpe, Assistant City Manager; Gustavo Gonzalez,
Assistant City Manager; John Magourie, City Engineer; Cherie Gutierrez, Management Assistant; Victoria Powell,

Call to Order:Chairman Broomfield called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at.5:33 p.m.
Action on Minutes: The motion was made by Ms. Emerson and seconded by Mr. Paulison to approve the minutes of the
08/18/14 Special Called Meeting as presented;the motion passed unanitnously.
Presentations and/or Public Comment:none
Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto:501c3 update: Ms. Emerson researched creating the account and will be
approximately$275.00 filing fee to start.Ms.Emerson also inquired about name in order to proceed,and Mr.Broomfield will
decide next meeting.DMD update:Mr.Broomfield advised Mr.Sweeney was unable to attend due to scheduling conflict,will
discuss at a later time.Marina District:Mr.Broomfield considers the boundary lines from Mesquite St at the Port to McGee
Beach for the Marina District and wants signage to implement.Paulette Kluge,CEO of Corpus Christi CVB,likes the concept.
Ms.Kluge will discuss with their consultant next week on how they might be able to proceed for zones to help tourists to get
around city.
Committee/Staff Reports:none
Director's Report: Mr.Davidson discussed status on new pier and demolition of R-Pier. Mr. Davidson commented on and/or
answered questions regarding: Marina revenue/expenditures and occupancy.
Identify Items to be placed on Next Agenda:501c3 name;Shoreline Realignment concerns
Confirmation for Next Meeting is: Monday,November 3,2014.
Adjournment: As there was no further business,the meeting was adjourned at 5:54 p.m.
