Bob Paulison, Stephen Bratien, William McDowell, Mona Bacn, Sharon Emerson,Hal Suter,Greg Turman Members Absent:none Staff Present: Peter Davidson.Marina Superintendent.Rene Garza,Marina Field Supervisor,Cherie Gutierrez, Management Assistant Call to Order.Chairman Broomfield called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at 5:30 p.m. Action on Minutes: The motion was made by Mr. Bratten and seconded by Ms. Emerson to approve the minutes of the 04/06/15 Regular Meeting as presented;Ilse motion passed unanimously. Presentations and/or Public Comment:none Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto:Marina BoundarigS Mr.Paulison had concern on definitions with boundaries.Mr.Davidson discussed the agreement with Parks to clean seawall and debris in water by steps from McGee Beach to Barge Dock and able to dispose of trash in the Marina;in return the Marina would clean and supply the public restrooms.Mr.Davidson requested for committee to take a vote on new map for City Council to review.Mr.Paulison asked far boundaries to be defined further.Mr.Davidson will take back to Legal for better definitions and will table the vote until then.Marina Boat Yard: Mr.Davidson advised on condition of current boat yard building and to maintain current structure will cost approximately$75.000.He then suggested to create an RFP or to put or Bond Election to build new facility.Mt Davidson envisions new building to have small businesses in building in order to create revenue.Mr.Davidson staled unable to create and RFP until parking issue has been resolved since will not work until sufficient parking is in line in order to accommodate customers.Shoreline Realianmem/narkine:Mr.Davidson discussed issues with Shoreline preventing parking for events and advised that City Council has approved for Engineering to creale a design to resolve issues.Marina District 5010:Ms.Emerson spoke to John Bell and asked to prepare a narrative that has been done,however cost will be approximately$3,000.Mr.Broomfield advised that they need to find$3.000 in order to proceed;requested for committee to let him know if they can think of any way. Cominittee/Staff Reports:none Director's Report: Mr. Davidson commented on and/or answered questions regarding: Marina revenue/expenditures and occupancy. Mr. Davidson advised missed previous meeting due to testimony at Texas State Capitol for Ways and Means Committee to limit sales tax on boats. The bill was passed and is now going for House Committee for vote tomorrow; if passed will go to State Senate. Mr. Davidson also discussed piling issue with new pier and possible building new boaters facility once that project complete.
