Marina Field Supervisor: Cherie Gutierrez, Management Assistant: Leah ilughen,Management Aide Call to Order:Chairman Broomfield called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at 5:32 p.m. Action on Minutes: The motion was made by Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. McDowell to approve the minutes of the 03,07.16 regular meeting:the motion passed unanimously Presentations and/or Public Comment: Don Glands of Gulfstream Marine expressed his concerns on parking and safety issues at the intersection of Coopers Alley i.Head and Shoreline Blvd. Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto:R Pier pmjett:Mr.Broomfield expressed concern regarding city funding for K pier.Mr. Davidson explained that he met with Engineering and Finance Departments and there was an error in calculations.The only funding the Marina owed of the$277,000 was 558,000 for a change order for dock signage and ADA access,which cane out of salary savings:the marina fund balance was not affected.Deal Yard building:Mr.Davidson discussed increasing the haul-out fee for boats over 40'Jue to the difficulty of the haul-out and requiring more staff on hand.Mr.Broomfield brought up the location of the crane.Mr. Davidson explained that to redesign or refurbish the boat yard would cost SUO.O00490,0001 the only way to get funding would be to be placed on a bond.which is very difficult to achieve.Ribbon Cutting Ceremony update for It Piet: Ms.Ilnen verified the ceremony will take place on Thursday.May 26'a at the Coopers Alley L-head and has confirmed Andrews Distributing will he providing bcocmges. Mr. Davidson advised the ribbon cutting will be from 5:00-5:30 pan.,depending on the weather.and the reception will take place afterwards at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club.Mr.Davidson thanked Landry's fur donating lived and Ms.Baen's company for sponsoring the committee's shins.Hayshofefar Cgopers Alley Parking:Mr.Broomfield stated that he,Mr. Davidson,and Mr.Paulison will he attending the stake holders meeting on May 3ffi to express their concern for safety and lack of parking.Mr.Davidson discussed issues and additional work that will need to he done before park is completed to help with traffic flow as well as traffic lights. Ms.l,ee made a motion to resolve parking for all stake holders including creating a safe passage for 18 wheel vehicles lett hand turning at both the intersections located at the Coopers Alley/N Shoreline and south bound Shoreline/Coopers Alley.Mr.Suter seconded the motion.The motion passed unanimously. Friends of the C us i Marina District update:Ms.Emerson advised that due to not having the written permission from the previous board the S01c must be known as the'Corpus Christi Marina District Foundation',however for fundraising purposes the'Friends of the Corpus Christi Marina District'will still be used. Ms.Emerson stated that she has a certificate of ibnnation and that Mr.Bell will be gathering the articles and bylaws for review. Mr.Broomfield suggested selecting the board members,as he volunteered.as well as Mr.Paulison to serve along with Ms.Emerson.Mr.Broomfield suggested to begin thinking of how to get public involved and to procure funding and/or grants.Ms. Emerson reminded the committee that Mr.Bell is still owed his fees,to be paid at a later date.
