Staff Present:Peter Davidson,Marina Superintendent:Cherie Gutierrez.Management Assistant:Leah Hughen.Management Aide
Call to Order:Chairman Broomfield called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at 5:30 p.m.
Action on Minutes: Ms. Emerson addressed that the July 4th celebration was not on the agenda as intended. Mr. Davidson will discuss
during director's report. The motion was made by Ms. Emerson and seconded by Mr. McDowell in approve the minutes of the 05/02/16
regular meeting;the motion passed unanimously.
Presentations and/or Public Comment: Ed Isenberg,tenant and visitor of the marina since 1986.expressed belief that the marina is the
best on the coast due to reasonable rates,marina staff,facilities.and location.
Discussion items and Possible Action Thereto:Ribbon Cutting ceremony review:Mr.Broomfield thought the ceremony was outstanding
with an impressive turn out.Mr.Davidson thanked Ms.Baen for helping set up and Stewart Title low donating beverages and shirts for the
committee.Mr.Davidson thanked Landry's for donating food. L& F Distributers for donating beverages.Downtown Management District
for providing funds for the musician.and Marina staff for their help.Mr.Davidson felt there was a great turn out of city department
personnel,the DMD,and Marina tenants.Mr.Davidson believes the media coverage is great publicity for the marina.Friends of the Corpus
Christi Marina update:Ms.Emerson is waiting on response from John Bell in regard to the articles. It was verified that Mr.Broomfield.Mr.
Paulison,and Ms.Emerson will be the directors of the board.After the articles are filed a board will be established.Mr.Brownfield thanked
Ms.Emerson for her hard work.Potential Coopers Alley L-head boater's facility:Mr.Davidson expressed a need for a new boater's facility
on the Coopers Alley L-head due to the increase in boat slips and to accommodate event crowds."there are two ways to go about funding a
new boater's facility.First would be to get a grant.A grant would pay 75% of the estimated 650.000 cost and the marina would need to
match the remaining 25%.which would he about $166,000.The second way to get funding is to be placed on a bond.Mr.Davidson advised
that city council may have a bond election in November and he has already requested that the marina be placed on a bond for $650,000.Ms.
Emerson will look into the TK Foundation which provides grants without the need to match funds. the Bay Yacht Club is interested in
having a second floor built onto the new boater's facility,but they don't have finding for plans as of yet.Breakwater reconstruction/repair:
Mr.Davidson will be attending a meeting on June 9,2016 at 2:00 p.m.to discuss tidal rise and the breakwater with TAMUCC/Blucher
Institute and HDR Engineering.Open invitation to all hoard members to come and voice their opinions.Dredging South Basin Fairway:Mr.
Davidson explained that the Parks Department is eventually planning to renourish McGee Beach. If they dredge the South Basin Fairway the
marina would be able to sell the soil back to the Texas General Land Office as match.Mr.Davidson encouraged the board to reach out to
city council in support of this project.

Director's Report: Mr. Davidson commented and/or answered questions regarding: Marina revenue, expenditures and occupancy. Mr.
Davidson advised that the traffic plan for the 4th of July celebration was being finalized on June 6, 2016. it will vary from last year.North
and South bound Shoreline will he closed and Water St. will he the main road. the RTA will he doing park and ride. there will be events
from Cole Park to North Beach starting at 10:00 a.m. Fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m.on a barge north of the gap. Marina patrol,Port police,
Coast Guard.and Coast Guard Auxiliary will assist in setting up a 1.000 toot perimeter around the barge.
