Staff Present: Peter Davidson, Marina Superintendent; Leah Hughen, Management Aide
Call to Order: Chairman Broomfield called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at
5:32 p.m.
Action on Minutes: °'I"lie motion was made by Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Suter to approve lite minutes of the
10/03/16 regular meeting; the motion passed unanimously.
Presentations and/or Public Comment: Tenant Carrie Meyer expressed her dissatisfaction that the marina raised
the slip rate on M Pier.
Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto: Co us Christi Marina District Foundation u date: Ms. Baen
proposed that the foundation meet the second Wednesday of every month until operations are estabi ished.The first
meeting is set for December 14, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. Mr. Davidson agreed to let the foundation meet at the People St.
boater's facility. Marina Advisory Committee Retreat goals u date: Mr. Broomfield expressed pride that the
committee accomplished putting together the 501c3 and having the City Legal Department get involved in
establishing the marina boundaries... Mr. Broomfield stated that a new boater's facility on Coopers Alley is still
needed. Mr. Davidson explained that funding for a new facility will be included on the 2018 bond election.
Convention and Visitors Bureau update,: Mr. Broomfield doesn't believe the Convention and Visitors Bureau
works closely enough with the marina. Mr. Davidson explained that the marina works with the Convention and
Visitors Bureau and Downtown Management District very well. They are currently working together to bring the
Harvest Moon Regatta to Corpus Christi in 2017. R Pier u date: Ms. Hughen informed the committee that R Pier
has 32 boats.

Director's Report: Mr. Davidson commented ander answered questions regarding: Marina revenue,expenditures.
occupancy and search and rescue operation.

Adjournment: As there was no further business,the meeting was adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
